The Research Institute on Japanese Military Sexual Slavery in WOMEN'S HUMAN RIGHTS INSTITUTE OF KOREA will hold an international conference on August 23rd, 2024 online and offline system at 'KIM KOO MUSEUM & LIBRARY' in Seoul under the theme of Japanese Military Sexual Slavery Issue in Asia.

This event is designed to bring together experts from various fields, including researchers from both domestic and overseas, and civic groups who have been working to solve "Japanese Military Sexual Slavery" issue, to look back on their achievements and discuss regarding the future aspect.

​

 

Our research institute has been planning the three-year project under the theme of 'Japanese Military Sexual Slavery Issue' viewed as civic solidarity since 2023 to reflect more broadly and deeply on the issue of damage to the Japanese Military Sexual Slavery during the Japanese colonial period.

​

 

 

Thus, in 2023, the first year, we held an international workshop under the theme of <'Japanese Military Sexual Slavery' issue, possibility and predicament of Korea-Japan civic solidarity> centered on Korea and Japan, and this year in 2024, we expanded our region and subject to Asia beyond Korea and Japan.

​

 

Next year, we will set up a forum for field of knowledge sharing to discuss in-depth the Japanese Military Sexual Slavery issue centered on the global civil solidarity, wartime sexual violence, women's human rights, and peace.

 

We ask for your a lot of interest and participation in the event where officials from Korea, Japan and Asia, who have been working to solve the Japanese military 'Japanese Military Sexual Slavery' problem, are gather around.
